The end of September is here and what a busy month it was. We’re on our way to the Christmas season with Halloween in the middle! But we’re not quite there yet, plenty of year still left to be had!
Let’s take a look at the image for September which is a wonderful character called the Diafrith from the Hammersmith Haunting which I ran for the Miskatonic Playhouse. I wanted to get an idea if who the character was so I made a visual of this strong female character, the daughter of a, well, mythos entity shall we say – no spoilers here on roll for sanity! I put in some parameters and whilst I’m sure not everything came out quite right like the hands, it was just great to this have this character come through from the AI to give me an idea of who this character would be as the villain to the investigators!
Productions & Editing
So what have I been up to in productions land? It’s been finishing things off to then onto the next production for the Playhouse. The Well of all Fears has gone live so that was nice to get them off the plate it as was a bit of a tough production – nothing wrong with the game itself, everybody was great and everybody had a wonderful time there was fun and laughter the team sadly have to chop out to make it a more polished production for the mainstage on the Miskatonic Playhouse. I did some recording of my own there is a production called New Dawn, a high drama actual play which is using the Delta Green Rule set. I play agent Stephen Armitage a English born American FBI agent. Having played a Delta Green before I know the agent occupation for the FBI is great. If you ever make a Delta Green character, go for the FBI agent and from experience I know to drop a lot of points in Bureaucracy, Athletics and Firearms! It’s a shame the damage bonus rules are not the same as Call of Cthulhu but a +2 damage to melee attacks in Delta Green is still pretty good for 17 STR. Agent Armitage has been recruited by New Dawn to look into weird happenings – so it’s a rebirth of the story of Delta Green from Charlie Creek you may recall from Fast Talk earlier in the year. We’ve be hard recording to episodes to bring you something for Halloween! I also got a Fast Talk show out this month talking to the Raph Merriman, role-player and reader extraordinaire person about Ramsey Campbell and all of his stories. It was really great to hear all about Campbell’s work and the differences between Lovecraft’s writing in Campbells writing – and Mr Campbell had ties to the original Mythos. Please check it out, it’s a fun listen.

Games Played
Then have games played we were back on the Orient express finishing up our Dreamlands Express encounter which was nice to get back onto the train. I wasn’t sold on the tasks we had to do as they did feel like a side quest in a computer game so not the strongest tale we’ve had on the Train so far. And we’ve been starting something new – I am now in Berling wicked city where I have a character Walter Hanson, a failed accountant who first love is playing the piano so wants to open a dance club with dancing girls and entertainment! That’s his way of looking at what he’s trying to do but he’s just actually just enjoying himself in wicked Berlin in a bar called The Opera with his compatriots – so looking forward to a Night at the Opera soon.

That was a short a whistle stop tour of September as it was really heads down getting things done and planning for the future. Round this time year, it’s away wise to look ahead and see there is left to achieve. Very sadly but very sensibly, the Library Use show on “The Temple” has to be put on hold. I put out Call of Cthulhu Explained last year and it was a very successful vid so naturally I want to repeat that. But even though I have been experimenting with looks and visuals for the Temple for nearly a year now, it’s not coming together. Let’s turn to October and looking at the October image – it’s a detective walking down at dock at night and behind him is a large ship upon which is some goon he’s being watched by! Thanks reading and we’ll roll for over sanity again soon!
