Welcome to the end of another human made unit of time based on the orbit of a ball of hot rock round a bright fusion reactor. Here though it’s a regular monthly musing!

Our header image is one of my favourites that came out of the AI as it’s simple approach showing me a great depth to the person. They are just reading a book but the mystery of the smoking orb next to them and a bright universal out tells me there is more to the story. Then as mythos investigators we might wonder what combination these might have. Will they be enchanted or be the one to cast the spell or travel in the realms of the mythos!

Productions and Editing

Well I’m glad to say that by design, there hasn’t be any over onerous tasks to accomplish. I was happy to take part in an end of season chat about the New Dawn Podcast. Hopefully you’ll remember that I play Agent Armitage in this Delta Green enhanced action play podcast. We play the game as a cast and then the wonderful producer and editor Charlie swaps out his NPC line with amazing folks who then act out the character. It was great to take part and do the end of season chat. I’ve no idea where the show will go but if I’m still playing Armitage in five years time then I guess we’ll have fan base!

The first batch of Phobia Shorts is complete and ready for youtube! These are going to be more complicated to do as the Occupation short I did in 2025 used automatic clip selection and editing. This save a great amount of time for me but I looking at that same old cosplayer in the tavern and same that couple of detective in multiple shorts I wanted to do something a bit getter. Yes it’ll take time just like it did in 2024 with the skills shorts videos but I think it will be better. And its about having fun when you’re making something. Hopefully you know by now I’m not chasing view trying to be popular, being honest I don’t want to be popular as with that comes all kinds of responsibilities! I just want to enjoy people playing Call of Cthulhu!

Fast Talk and Adventured Played

As mentioned at the top of the Blog the last Fast Talk is done. I quite enjoyed just me and the microphone, spouting off about Call of Cthulhu! At one point I was nodding, thinking, maybe shouldn’t knock Fast Talk on the head but then if I just did a solo show I would be putting myself out there with…opinions on the internet and you know how much folks like to take considered approach to what people say online! Fun as chatting it, I don’t need to be out there.

Playing games, I had fun session on the Orient Express before we broke from Christmas and having made it to Constantinople things are literally hotting up! As usual there is a side quest to investigate as well as the ever present threat of the Cult as we reach the climax of the story. The encounters are coming in thick and fast so we have to be prepared! Apparently it’s going to be tricky to persuade the Royal Nay Battleship to shell part of the city but as a plan B I think we should consider it!

In Berlin the Wicked City, it would appear that Cthulhu and their cult could be the bad guys in a game of Call of Cthulhu! We’re manging to take a little bit of control of out dreams and we hit a little treasure trove of mythos tomes. I’m never really one to look at these book as usually the spells in there don’t have much immediate use but my character is pianist who trained as an accountant so being the most academic he is taking a look at the Zanthu Tablets which also came with some nails…!

Next Year and Conventions

Well sadly I think next year will be a rinse and repeat of 2025. I expect I shall be at UK Games Expo and also at ChaosiumCon doing the same old same old. I think I’ve said I don’t really go to Conventions for fun but to do something practical like run demo games or do the Tech behind recording/stream. Hopefully the food will be a bit better than last year, but probably not!

I will be running a game for the Miskatonic Playhouse and the Playhouse may release season two of the Gaslight Adventure series Mr Whisper and when that happens we’ll then get back into the ‘studio’ to record the conclusion to the story!

I write these words for me to remind me of the fun Call of Cthulhu is, I’m very happy if you’re reading the blog as well and hopefully enjoying the game too.
